[RUD & Stahl - Heartwave]

Heartwave is such an incredible story for me.

I remember tuning in to your first streams of over 2 years ago, putting this track together piece by piece. Even before release, that was the most beautiful melody I've ever heard. That was my favourite melody for the 18 months following. I remember the version of this song that once was, and how much I loved almost everything about it.

When you and Stahl released Refresh in February of 2022, I thought for sure it would be this. Even with how much I've grown to love Refresh, my first reaction was honestly disappointment, just because it wasn't this. That's how much this melody meant to me.

Fast forward to around half a year ago. You were streaming the making of this track again, this time on YouTube. It was the same melody, the same chords, the same bass... only in your newer style. More reminiscent of Refresh and Caramel than of Flashback and Infinite. It was so soothing and nostalgic to listen to that stream in the background while I worked. What a way to end October.

And just yesterday, you dropped it by surprise. I saw the title—Heartwave—and I knew this had to be it. And even when you consider the 2½ year wait, it does NOT disappoint. I love every part about this. I love how you and Stahl merged so many parts of so many different streams and attempts and revisions and versions together to create the final product. Having tuned into all those streams makes this track feel so complete. It's not the old version from 2 years ago, but I think I like this one a bit more. It's really growing on me!

This piece really resembles ColBreakz's recent works, but it's got that funky twist to it, especially in the drop. I love the overall layout! It's just too much. 💗

Okay, X3ll3n, was NOT expecting this. Waiting for Colorful, what I thought would be your next release, I had no clue you were about to drop something like this! It's absolutely insane! I love the style you've taken. It's different from your own — a little closer to JNG's — but I can still hear all the drop elements from your former tracks — besides the wide leads, which are personally my favourite part of your style, but they're not gone forever. This is a chill track, so it doesn't really need them. 💙
Overall, phenomenal job, X3l! Can't wait for Colorful, and everything else you have in store for us this summer! 🙌

I absolutely LOVE this! Bonk really does bring out the best in both of you, and it's such a nice track, in composition, sound design, mastering, and overall mood! This is a really nice dark vibe that I think would fit perfectly in an movie intro, at least in my opinion.

This is so nice, Vorto! Not really my style, but I love all the incorporated elements. You really pulled through with this one, and I think this is definitely the best of it's style I've heard in a while! ⚡

This remix is so cool, X3l! I love how your style and K-391's merge in this one. The lyrics from the original work so well with your composition, and I'm actually jealous of the way you make it work. The portamento in the drop... I'm LOVIN' it! (Hope that's not copyrighted ahahaha)
And the key change... I'm mind-blown! You pulled it off so well! The ending is something else altogether as well. Wow!
I've always loved your remixes, bro, but I think this is a new fave! Of course, you're improving, so your work is getting better. It definitely shows! 💓

Most people didn't like my ending (my hardcore bass wasn't gritty enough), but I'm glad at least somebody likes it ^^
Also, I think the portamento in the drop was a nice touch :D
